We are currently seeking to fill the following positions:

Maintenance Assistant

Position reports to the Maintenance Lead. This is an hourly position with a pay range of $10-$14/hr depending on skills and experience.

Job Profile

Wagner Machine Company is seeking a motivated individual to help us maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shop floor. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to clean the shop and machines, to remove waste product, and to perform daily tasks to keep machines in a state of operational readiness.

Job Functions

  • Clean the shop equipment and work area as instructed
  • Help production workers by performing duties such as cleaning work areas and equipment, or topping off coolant and other machine fluids
  • Remove and maintain chips from machining operations until recycled
  • Move and stage materials & supplies
  • Move raw and scrap materials, finished products and equipment throughout the facility
  • Perform necessary housekeeping activities; including, but not limited to, picking up all debris that results from production activities and proper storage of all materials and equipment when not in use
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Operate forklift and/or overhead crane
  • Communicate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Assist with basic preventative maintenance as directed
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Due to ITAR compliance, applicants must be US Citizens
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

Prototype Machinist/Programmer

Position reports to the Job Shop Team Lead. This is an hourly position with a pay range of $20-$30/hr depending on skills and experience.

Job Profile

Wagner Machine Company is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to fill an open position. In our job shop, machinists use a variety of machining processes to make low volume machined parts. Qualified individuals must be proficient at CAD/CAM, programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to make complex parts to customer specs. Machinists work on projects individually but often collaborate with each other to figure out the best method to program, fixture, and machine complex parts. The best candidates will have a diverse machining background, a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to learn quickly, and a commitment to continuing education in machining technology.

Job Functions

  • Read prints and modify CAD Files
  • Identify best methods to make high quality parts within the quoted cycle time
  • Use CAM software to create efficient and repeatable toolpaths (FeatureCAM or PowerMill Preferred)
  • Set up and run CNC mills and lathes
  • Inspect parts to internal quality standards
  • Document jobs to company standards
  • Communicate with supervisors and customers
  • Meet deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

  • Due to ITAR compliance, applicants must be US Citizens
  • 3 Years Operating, setting-up, and programming CNC mills and lathes
  • 3 Years CAD/CAM experience (surface and solid modeling preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of G and M codes
  • Detailed knowledge of measuring techniques and best practices
  • Extensive knowledge of tooling and machining processes
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to adjust programs for optimal speed, reliability, and tool life
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs. and pass a drug-screen and background check

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Manual milling, turning, and grinding experience
  • Experience with .0005” or smaller tolerances
  • Experience with high speed machining and micro tooling
  • Experience in a Job Shop Environment machining a variety of materials
  • Experience in a LEAN Manufacturing or 5S Setting
  • Experience with ISO procedures

Warehouse Lead

Position reports to the Production Coordinator. This is an hourly position with a pay range of $18-$25/hr depending on skills and experience.

Job Profile

Wagner Machine Company is seeking a motivated individual to help us maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shop floor. The warehouse lead’s primary responsibilities are to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and value-added processing of a wide variety of materials and supplies.

Job Functions

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
  • Oversee receiving of materials and other supplies
  • Unload and load trucks
  • Distribute incoming material and tooling to appropriate departments
  • Managing scrap material and waste
  • Ensure efficient space utilization of material storage area
  • Develop procedure for maintaining a digital raw material inventory
  • Complete periodic audits of material inventory
  • Oversee employee safety training; including fork truck, crane, scissor lift, LOTO, and fall protection
  • Maintain company HAZCOM program
  • Other duties as assigned
